2022 saw the Cowdrey ladies enter the WSCF competition for the first time. Teams of eight from the West Kent region battled it out to gain a place in the Kent finals. After a fantastic start, holding top spot for the first three festivals, we finished second, gaining a place in the FINALS… an amazing achievement for a group of ladies who hadn’t picked up a bat, or bowled a ball 10 months prior to this! 2022 also saw a few of the junior girl’s squad move up into the ladies’ team – the pathway to continue in softball cricket at Cowdrey CC is most definitely in place.
Training is super friendly and fun, and newcomers are welcomed with open arms. Absolutely no prior experience is needed, with the squad’s ethos built around getting active and having a lot of fun. The Kent finals will be held on Sunday 25th September… the team are ready to go to battle again. Who knows what may be!
