Cowdrey Cricket Club have signed Sri Lankan batting all-rounder Minhaj Jalill for the 2019 campaign.

Jalill, 23, is an exciting top-order batting prospect, playing for Saracens Sports Club in the top tier (A) of Sri Lankan first-class cricket. In 17 first-class matches to date, Jalill has scored 850 runs at 29.31.

In 2018, Jalill played in the Devon Premier for Bovey Tracey (515 runs at 34.33 and 15 wickets at 44.33) and also impressed in the CricX (Overseas v English) game in August, top scoring with 59 and bowling some useful overs with his off spin.
